Shopping, best Shop, Product review and Price Comparison at dooyoo.co.uk
Dooyoo describes itself as a 'decision-enabling platform'. More simply put, it has loads of reviews written by ordinary folk about almost anything, including kitchen sinks.
Hot topic: Electronic goods enjoy a slight edge in terms of review numbers.
Our favourite review of the day: A budding Bill Oddie writes a review on feeding ducks: "The first step is to locate a nearby pond or river. For added excitement, try to throw the bread between two competing ducks. This will allow you to judge the birds on reaction times, speed and temper."
What they said about my phone: While most reviews were positive, many echoed my own grumble – that the battery drains too fast. One reviewer used almost the same phrase I did when I complained to my phone company: "The battery must be leaking because it has to be recharged every day and I don’t use [the phone] much at all."
What we liked: The clear presentation, category headings and search tool make browsing a doddle. Reviews have an admirable level of intelligence and thoughtfulness, and most reviews are well-balanced, outlining the good as well as the duff: one writer praises his Alba DVD player, but adds: ‘the remote control is a nightmare’.
You can pen your own reviews, receive newsletters and even earn Dooyoomiles for your works. There are 1,000 Dooyoomiles in a pound, and you earn 100 for writing an opinion or 30 every time someone reads one of your reviews.
