CDBurnerXP Pro - freeware burning solution | Home / News
Need to burn DVDs and a few kinds of CDs on a budget? CDBurnerXP Pro is a free program to do just that. It can write to CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD+R/RW discs. If you're backing up your data in a hurry, you'll appreciate it that CDBurnerXP Pro will let you record data discs on the fly--no need to image the disc beforehand. You can record many popular audio formats--MP3, OGG, and WMA, to name a few--on the fly as well. CDBurner XP Pro uses a multithread buffering system and supports BURN-PROOF for error-free recording. It auto-tests CD-R/W drives it doesn't recognize, so it should work with most drives.

You can rip disc to your local hard drive as well. CDBurnerXP Pro rips the big three audio formats mentioned above without making intermediate WAV files. The program supports jitter-correction ripping modes to rip tracks from scratched CDs and can restore damaged tracks from CDs that have been listened to within an inch of their lives.

This is beta software, and thus may be unstable. Use with caution and at your own risk.
