Don’t you just hate it when you have to give out your e-mail address to all of those account sign-up forms that exist on the Internet? I do. Even though they may try to assure you that they’re not going to sell your e-mail address to advertisers, you can’t put your full trust in some of the companies. If other companies don’t spam you, then they probably will. Most of the time, the addresses that you fill in must be valid because you may have to respond to the e-mail that they send you in order to confirm something. Instead of using a collection of dummy e-mail addresses, just use PookMail.com.
As an alternative to typing in your real address on all of those pesky forms, just make up a fake name for @pookmail.com, such as, icantbelievetheyfellforthis@pookmail.com. To check the account for new messages, all you have to do is go to PookMail.com and enter in the fake name that you used. No passwords are required, so access is quick and easy. You'll have 24 hours to retrieve the message, and after that, the e-mail will be deleted. If the message is something that you think is worthwhile to keep, you can save it and import it into your e-mail client. To make it even easier to see what's in the account, they provide RSS feeds for all of the spoofed addresses.
