Tux Paint is developed by volunteers around the world. We work on it as a labor of love, with the hopes that people will find it useful, and in turn share it with their own friends and family. (Specifically, Tux Paint is Free/Libre software, distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License. That's similar to freeware, but even more free!)
